If your business involves the following situations, you may need to apply for specific licence(s). Please put a √ in the appropriate box(es) for further information:

You will use explosives in Hong Kong (for non-blasting, e.g. smoke canisters, flares, etc) .

You will establish and maintain a private wireless telecommunications system

You will import any dogs or cats from overseas.

You will need the Animal Health Certificate for exporting live animals and certifying that you have met the veterinary health requirements imposed by the importing countries.

You will manufacture explosives in Hong Kong (execpt blast sites).

You will import any plants or plant materials (including seeds).

You will import animals or birds from overseas.

You will import any reptiles from overseas.

You will import mammals from the Mainland and/or you will import animal products.

You will import/introduce from the sea any endangered species of animals/plants, alive or dead, parts (e.g. meat/skin/hair/leather/teeth/tusk), or their derivatives.

You will export/re-export any endangered species of animals/plants, alive or dead, parts (e.g. meat/skin/hair/leather/teeth/tusk), or their derivatives.

You will possess any endangered species of animals/plants, alive or dead, parts (e.g. meat/skin/hair/leather/teeth/tusk), or their derivatives.

You will need the Re-export Cerificate for re-exporting any non-CITES species or species not yet controlled under Cap. 586 as required by the place of import.

You will store explosives (including safety cartridges and manufactured fireworks).

You will move or transport explosives, fireworks, safety cartridge or pyrotechnics on land.

You will dispose of or reprocess or re-cycle any chemical waste.

You will install or alter chimney, oven or furnace with consumption rate exceeding 25 litres (liquid), 35 kilograms (solid) or 1150 Megajoules (gas) per hour.

You will use pyrotechnics materials and other special effects materials for the production of special effects for films, commercials, TV programmes, videos, internet videos, stage performances, festival celebrations, banquets or special events/ocassions.

Your business entity will operate as a company with limited liability in Hong Kong.

Your company is incorporated outside Hong Kong and planning to establish a place of business in Hong Kong.

You will operate an artificially constructed pool used for swimming or bathing for public access or run by a club/institution/organisation which serves 20 or more residential units.

You will prepare and sell a limited range of food items for consumption on the premises.

You will sell frozen confections, for consumption off the premises.

You will sell non-bottled drinks, for instance, fresh fruit juice, diluted drinks prepared from concentrated fruit juice or syrup, soya bean juice etc, for immediate consumption.

You will prepare, manufacture, further process or pack food for sale for human consumption off the premises.

You will manufacture any frozen confections.

You will sell liquor at any premises for consumption on those premises.

You will sell food/drinks from a vending machine.

You will construct or operate a designated project listed in Part I of Schedule 2 or to decommission a designated project listed in Part II of Schedule 2 of Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance (Cap. 499).

You will organize or conduct games of amusements with prizes.

You will organize/conduct fund-raising lottery ticket sales for charities, non-profit making organizations or functions.

You will use open area outside the restaurant premises for alfresco dining business.
