Air-Conditioning or Ventilation System, Installation, Maintenance and Repair
If your business involves the following situations, you may need to apply for specific licence(s). Please put a √ in the appropriate box(es) for further information:
You will use powered mechanical equipment (other than percussive piling) for construction between 7pm and 7am, or anytime on a holiday.
You will dispose of or reprocess or re-cycle any chemical waste.
You will produce or cause chemical wastes to be produced (include storage, package, labelling and disposal).
You will collect, remove and transport any chemical waste.
You will, as a chemical waste producer, store chemical waste in any containers with a capacity exceeding 450 litres.
You will employ competent person to operate your boiler or steam receiver.
You will use any boilers (including thermal oil heater and pressure cookers), pressure vessels (such as steam receivers, air receivers, pressure vessels for human occupancy, vulcanizers (AR) and pressurized bulk tanks, other than pressurised fuel containers) or steam containers.
You will import/manufacture air conditioners/refrigerating appliances/compact fluorescent lamps/washing machines/dehumidifiers/televisions/storage type electric water heaters/induction cookers which are not listed under mandatory energy efficiency labelling scheme.
You will import any ozone depleting substances (e.g. HCFCs, methyl bromide).
You will export any ozone depleting substances (e.g. HCFCs, methyl bromide).
You need to register under the Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance.
Your business entity will operate as a company with limited liability in Hong Kong.
Your company is incorporated outside Hong Kong and planning to establish a place of business in Hong Kong.
You will tranship any ozone depleting substances (e.g. HCFCs, methyl bromide).
You will apply for a Certificate of Compliance Registration, submit a Form of Compliance or carry out energy audit in accordance with the Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance.
