SME Seminar: Exploring Production Opportunities in the ASEAN Market
(28 August 2019 at SUCCESS)

This seminar will introduce the Free Trade Agreement between Hong Kong and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the “ASEAN Programme” under the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (the BUD Fund). The seminar will also invite an economist of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to introduce the production opportunities in Myanmar, as well as an enterprise with production facilities in the ASEAN to share experience. (This seminar will be conducted in Cantonese.)


 

SME Seminar: Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) Seminar
(6 September 2019 at Hong Kong Science Museum)

This seminar will invite representatives from Innovation and Technology Commission to introduce the details of the TVP, address some frequently asked questions (FAQs), and share successful cases. (This seminar will be conducted in Cantonese.)

Branding To Win Seminar: New Retail.Brand.New Power!
(27 August 2019 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre)

This seminar is jointly organised by the Trade and Industry Department, the Hong Kong Brand Development Council, the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Guest speakers will analyse the impact of this new retailing era from different angles, explore branding strategies that enterprises can adopt to develop brands and enhance competitiveness, and share their own intelligent retail strategies at the Seminar. HKMA Leadership and Management Seminar 2019 (3)

Enhancements of the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund)


Since 1 August 2018, the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund) has been enhanced to strengthen support to enterprises in exploring new markets and new business opportunities.

The “ASEAN Programme” under the BUD Fund has been launched to provide funding support to individual non-listed Hong Kong enterprises for enhancing their competitiveness and furthering business development in the ASEAN market.  Enterprises could obtain a maximum funding of $1 million on a matching basis for projects aiming to develop the ASEAN markets.  In addition, the cumulative funding ceiling per enterprise for the current “Mainland Programme” under the BUD Fund has been doubled to $1 million.  A summary of the enhancement measures is at table below.

The “Mainland Programme” and “ASEAN Programme” of the BUD Fund are open to applications all year round.  Applications will be considered by batches.  The batch cut-off dates for 2019 are 29 March, 28 June, 30 September and 31 December.

To enhance enterprises’ understanding on the BUD Fund, the Programme Secretariat regularly organises seminars in HKPC (HKPC Building, 78 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon Tong).

Hong Kong Licensing Awards 2019 - Launching Ceremony cum Licensing for Creative Industry Seminar

This event is organised by the Asian Licensing Association and sponsored by Create Hong Kong of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Seminar on the Productivity Assessment for Employees with Disabilities under the Statutory Minimum Wage Regime


(4 September, 2019 at Henry G. Leong Yaumatei Community Centre)

This seminar is organised by the Labour Department. The seminar will introduce details of the productivity assessment for employees with disabilities under the Minimum Wage Ordinance. Employers, persons with disabilities and their family members as well as representatives from rehabilitation organisations are welcome to attend. (This seminar will be conducted in Cantonese with sign language interpretation service provided.)
