What's New

Enhancements to SME Export Marketing Fund (EMF) and Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund) are now in effect
 

Since 1 August 2018, the EMF and the BUD Fund have been enhanced to strengthen support to enterprises in exploring new markets and new business opportunities.  The grant ceilings per enterprise of both the EMF and the BUD Fund have been increased.  The geographical scope of the BUD Fund has also extended to cover the ASEAN markets. This seminar is co-organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission and SUCCESS.  The seminar will introduce the details of the TVP and the relaxed eligibility criteria, address frequently asked questions, and also share successful cases.  (This seminar will be conducted in Cantonese.)

Seminar on “The 2.1 years in food & beverage industry”

Enhancements of the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund)


Since 1 August 2018, the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund) has been enhanced to strengthen support to enterprises in exploring new markets and new business opportunities.

The “ASEAN Programme” under the BUD Fund has been launched to provide funding support to individual non-listed Hong Kong enterprises for enhancing their competitiveness and furthering business development in the ASEAN market.  Enterprises could obtain a maximum funding of $1 million on a matching basis for projects aiming to develop the ASEAN markets.  In addition, the cumulative funding ceiling per enterprise for the current “Mainland Programme” under the BUD Fund will be doubled to $1 million.  A summary of the enhancement measures is at table below.

Open to applications all year round

The “Mainland Programme” and “ASEAN Programme” of the BUD Fund are open to applications all year round.  Applications will be considered by batches.  The batch cut-off dates for 2018 are 29 March, 29 June, 28 September and 31 December.

Measure on Import and Export Declaration Charge Capped at $200

The Government's measure to cap the import and export declaration (TDEC) charge at $200 has been effective from 1 August 2018.  The cap is applicable to goods imported to Hong Kong, or exported or re-exported from Hong Kong, on or after August 1.  Under the above measure, for each TDEC involving goods at a value above $1.644 million, the TDEC charge will remain at $200.

Seminar on the Productivity Assessment for Employees with Disabilities under the Statutory Minimum Wage Regime

(15 August, 2018 at Henry G. Leong Yaumatei Community Centre)

This seminar is organised by the Labour Department.  The seminar will introduce details of the productivity assessment for employees with disabilities under the Minimum Wage Ordinance.  Employers, persons with disabilities and their family members as well as representatives from rehabilitation organisations are welcome to attend.  (This seminar will be conducted in Cantonese with sign language interpretation service provided).
