SME Mentorship Programme
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of our economy, constituting over 98% of the business establishments and accounting for about 46% of the total employment in the private sector in Hong Kong. The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region attaches great importance to SMEs, and is striving to facilitate their development and help them enhance competitiveness.
The SME Mentorship Programme aims at providing an opportunity for SME entrepreneurs who are at their early stage of business to learn from and be guided by accomplished entrepreneurs, senior executives, and professionals through one-on-one free counselling. Note: Besides the SME Mentorship Programme, SMEs may find the "Meet-the-Advisors" Business Advisory Service (BAS) (https://www.success.tid.gov.hk/tid/eng/bas/bas.jsp) of SUCCESS useful. SMEs with questions on starting and running a business may seek advice from BAS experts through a free consultation meeting. BAS covers 25 advisory areas including starting up, marketing, legal and accounting matters, intellectual property, etc.
