2011/12 SME Mentorship Programme
Organisers
Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department and over 60 Co-organisers.
Eligibility for Mentees
SME entrepreneur who owns and actively runs a company which :
-
is registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance, Cap. 310;
-
has been established for less than 5 years; and
-
employs fewer than 20 employees in Hong Kong.

Mentors
Mentors are experienced entrepreneurs, senior executives and professionals recommended by the Co-organisers. Mentors will listen to mentees' views and problems in running their business, share with mentees their thinking and experience, and give them advice. However, mentors will not make decision for mentees. Mentees must make decision for their own business.
Mentorship Period
The mentorship period will last for 12 months after the mentee has been matched with a mentor, during which the mentor and mentee are encouraged to meet at least 3 times.
Activities
SUCCESS will organise various activities such as seminars, workshops and visits, etc. for mentors and mentees for experience sharing and business networking purposes.
Other Information

Each mentee will be required to sign an undertaking to agree that neither the mentor nor the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region nor the Co-organisers shall be responsible for any claim of loss or damage resulting from his/her participation in the Programme.

Any mentor or mentee can withdraw from the Programme by giving 30 days' prior written notice to the Trade and Industry Department.
Important Note
The Trade and Industry Department has full discretion to reject any applications without providing reasons.
